Fereshta and I found a secluded spot tonight in the middle of an empty field under a tree with the open sky above us. We laid down a sheet and spent some time addressing a few things and putting them in their place. Afterward we spent some time with her laying on my arm under a blanket. Not sure how long it was because time seemed to have gotten lost to me. Staring up at the sky with her in my arms and her head resting on my chest to have half my view covered by the looming tree and the other half by the beautiful sky set that instance to be one of the most memorable times of my life. Afterwards we got in my car and parked somewhere and I scooched over in between the driver's and passenger's seats so she could rest on me. We spent a while again laying together, talking, listening to a GnR mix cd I made for her until we were both too tired to stay out anymore. The whole time we were outside, the weather was almost perfect. It was actually pretty warm for this time of year and the breeze was nothing a flanel blanket couldn't take care of. When we got to her house to drop her off, it started to drizzle. I love the rain. We spent a few minutes standing and kissing in the rain before we parted.

Perfect.

...I think I'd miss the sunset a lot. The lack of anything substantial to do this evening drove me to the beach earlier. For two hours I stared at the sun on its descent into the horizon over the water. The sky was completely clear of any clouds. In the middle of it I got to notice a huge sunspot go across the orange/yellow orb. Gazing at just how majestic this star is above our heads was a very humbling experience. We all go about our lives as if we're so important. We worry and stress about the pettiest things. We're hung up on ridiculous notions and beliefs of self-importance to the point of arrogance. People will come and go, live and die, and look upon the sun until the world does end and none of it will mater even in the slightest to the stars. All in all it was a very humbling and calming experience. I wish I did this more often because once the sun had finally set, I had the urge to get in my car, take out a pen and paper and jot down these thoughts right away in the parking lot at the beach so I don't lose them. I never do that.

i love driving around for hours on end and having good music to listen to while i'm doing so is very important. every cd i burn ends up having some song(s) that i'll just skip. until today. i had to go back and forth from the city and surprisingly enough in the 22 songs that i burned, i didn't once feel compelled to skip a track. even the last song which is the worse song in the world (youtube 'my world' by gnr) but i needed to fill the last minute and a half of the cd. i feel good about that, as small an accomplishment as that may be.

the cd consists of a bunch of songs from the FF7:Advent Children soundtrack (the electric badass dramatic ones that make for great driving/dancing music), otherworld from FFX (fuck the haters, that song's badass), no rain by blind melon, chinese democracy and if the world by gnr, thinking of you by apc, overloaded by bumblefoot, adios by rammstein, supermassive black hole and knights of cydonia by muse, paradise city (gnr) and ABC (jackson 5) mashup, smells like teen spirit and billie jean (michael jackson) mashup, sweet dreams (eurythmics) and seven nation army (white stripes) mashup (the mashup songs are hysterical and should not be knocked til heard), and my world by gnr. the last one's a terrible song but it only lasts a minute and half and can be tolerated.

But the thing is that a little while ago I was driving around and it started to rain for about 15 minutes and thunder and all that jazz. It started to pour for a bit and If The World Would End Today came on my speakers and I saw streaks of lightning flying across the sky for as far as I could see lighting up the pitch black clouds. The 5 minutes that the song lasted, I had never before in my life wished SO BAD that I were even the least bit poetic JUST so I could actually put down in words how I felt. But, a poet I'm not, so fucking blog post will have to suffice.
So appearently Dr. Pepper recently promised everyone in America (except Slash and Buckethead) a free soda if Guns n Roses releases Chinese Democracy in 2008. I thought it was a stupid April fool's joke but when I looked into it, it was real. Even more surprising, Axl Rose made a press release responding to that saying that he appreciates the support from Dr. Pepper and that he's willing to share his soda with Buckethead since bucket's shredding will still be on the album. This made me wonder.... What the fuck?! confusion ensued and I went to sleep because that made my head hurt.

PS: HAH! you TOTALLY thought this would be a Dr. Who related post, didn't you? =P

    <lj:music>Sublime- Steel Train (Boss DJ)</lj:music>

With random drunken adventures in the village where the streets are covered in the scent of cloves and hash, the subway bums are philosophers, exhibitionist cubbies in dance clubs have fuzzy walls to roll face in (and cup holders...?), and a shady ass alley that isn't an alley at all but the porch to a badass belgian pub. I have found a new love in my life and her name is Lambic. It's bitter, sour, and alcoholic, what more could i ask for? plus it was a great chaser for the rum. Also, witnessing the spring sunrise on the drive home was pretty spiffy too, i enjoyed that a lot. Really, the only bad parts of the night were the cold wait for the subway and the weird smell of the subway you don't realize you have on you until you're home. That and when all the damn rum was gone!!!

I love new years. It's a time to welcome in another year, getting fucked up with your friends, and all that happy fun stuff. But for certain people, it's also the time of the year they get badgered by many of their friends (and some that are not) about a certain matter that's completely subjective.

It's no surprise to anyone that I'm a huge fan of Guns n Roses. I grew up with the music. As corny, cheesy and whatever-the-hell-else you wanna call it, when I listen to it, it's very nostalgic of my childhood. I can't help that. Now, I understand that it's amusing to poke fun at once in a while at a washed-up, has-been of a band/singer once in a while. Hell, i'm fan enough to see them play 5 times in 2006 and even I do it cuz I mean, 14 years still "working on it" IS a bit ridiculous. I also understand not everyone likes this band, even has hatred towards it because it's not their cup of tea. That's all well and good. I completely respect that.

But it gets SO FUCKING OLD and ANNOYING AS FUCK when EVERY FUCKING year I get laughed at, mocked and asked with more than just a bit of sarcasm "hey man, when's Chinese Democracy coming out? *snickers*" by asstards that think they're fucking cool because they listen to what's popular at the moment on the radio. When's it coming out? IT'S COMING OUT OF MY FUCKING ASSHOLE WHEN I'M TAKING A FUCKING DUMP DOWN YOUR FUCKING THROAT YOU FUCKING ASSCLOWNS! FUCK YOU, YOU'RE NOT FUCKING FUNNY, IT'S NOT FUCKING CLEVER, GO BREAK YOUR FUCKING A.F.I CD IN HALF AND SLIT YOUR FUCKING WRIST WITH IT YOU LITTLE FUCKING TURDMAGGOTS!!!

*calms down*

With that being said, the following are leaked unfinished demos from the supposed Chinese Democracy that probably never will come out. But hey, at least they're still making music.

<lj-embed id="14" />

<lj-embed id="15" />

-Ignore the video. This is the best sounding leak I could find.

<lj-embed id="16" />

<lj-embed id="17" />

<lj-embed id="18" />

<lj-embed id="19" />

<lj-embed id="20" />

<lj-embed id="21" />

<lj-embed id="22" />

<lj-embed id="23" />

<lj-embed id="24" />

PS: Yes, I'm plugging my favorite band.. It was like Soylent Green, but badass! just thought I'd put that out there..

PS: for those that have seen it, is it just me or did the relationship between "Mr. T" and Mrs. Lovette have a striking resemblance to Harley Quinn and Mr. J.--err--The Joker

...I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Bored as shit. resting up before the long day/night tomorrow. we have way too much liquor for the party tomorrow, the fridge is overfilling and we had to resort to putting about 8 bottles in a box and leaving it to chill in the back yard... won't make it to the party til about 1am but the last hour or so should still be fun. today will consist of me being a lazy fuck and lying around and be a hermit like most days =D
on a plus side, while I was out at best buy to get my ethernet splitter, I found the Blind Melon CD that I've been looking for ages. w00t.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, people.. enjoy yourselves.

<lj-embed id="11" />
